Book Review – The Curvy Girls Club by Michele Gorman

My Review

I received a copy o The Curvy Girls Club by Michele Gorman in exchange for an honest review.

Katie is a “big girl” and so are her friends.  They all feel the stigma that is placed on them by society because the don’t conform to what is considered to be beautiful, because they are not “thin”.  They decide to start a club to support each other in the ways they think the world does not.  The perspective of the characters is eye opening, we subconsciously think and feel things that are not necessarily based in reality, sometimes brainwashed into thinking or considering what is “normal”.  The support the characters give each other was great, and we could also see the change in thought when situations are reversed, even amongst people who are considered to be friends.  A great read whether curvy or thin for all. 🙂
